Sheperd's purse

The sheperd's weed, which is used for the Inizio hydrolate, is locally grown in Vorarlberg/Austria. It is harvested by hand between april and octobre on a sunny day after the dew has dried and when it is in full bloom. It will be always watersteam-destilled at the day of the harvest. To receive a balanced, harmonious aroma we use mainly leafs, but also flowers an stems. 

Sheperd's weed smells inconspicuous, a little bit tangy. Sheperd's weed is a common, mostly inconspicuous weed in Europe, Asia and America (as a neophyte). Sheperd's weed is a very good styptic herb. That's why it is used in the case of heavy menstrual flow, nose bleeding, bloody diarrhoea, bloody hemorrhoides as well as superficial bleeding wounds. The Commission E confirms the effect of sheperd's weed in the case of menorrhagien an metrorrhagien, nose bleeding and superficial bleeding skin injuries. The herb with the lot of small hearts is a very effective remedy for the heart. It works strenghten and harmonizing wether suffering on a low or a high blood pressure. The harmonizing effect to the blood vessels is also good in the case of varicose veins and hemorroids.

Pure water

The water, which is used for the production of hydrolates, is pure and untreated water from the ground water fields in the foreshore of the Rhine. The Lustenauer drinking water needs no treatment, because it is water of the very best quality. Through the process of destillation pure hydrolat is formed.
